About Matthew

Matthew A. Robinson, PhD, ABPP, is a clinical and research psychologist who specializes in the treatment of trauma disorders, including dissociative identity disorder.

Dr. Robinson is clinical director of patient product at Headway and founding partner of Featherglass Health.

He was formerly senior director for McLean Hospital’s Adult and Geriatric Ambulatory and Partial Hospital Services and program director of McLean’s Trauma Continuum of Care at the Hill Center.

Dr. Robinson collaborates on federally funded research studies exploring the phenomenology, neurobiology, and treatment of trauma and dissociative disorders including DID.

His current research includes exploring the effectiveness and acceptability of evidence-based treatments for PTSD, new approaches to treatment of ICD-11 complex PTSD, and expanding treatment options and availability for DID. Dr. Robinson provides professional training and is engaged in public outreach efforts aimed at understanding and destigmatizing DID.
