Successfully Supporting Someone With Mental Health Challenges

Virtual – Friday, October 9 @ 12-1pm ET

Many people want to support someone struggling with mental health challenges—but aren’t sure where to begin. Fear of saying the wrong thing, offering the wrong help, or making things worse can leave supporters feeling stuck or overwhelmed.

This session offers clear, compassionate guidance on how to show up effectively for someone navigating mental health challenges, whether you’re a caregiver, colleague, educator, or friend.

Why This Training Matters

Supporting someone with mental health challenges can feel emotionally complex and uncertain. Even well-intentioned supporters often struggle to balance empathy with boundaries, or to know when to listen versus when to encourage professional help.

Without guidance, supporters may experience burnout, frustration, or self-doubt—while the person needing support may feel misunderstood or isolated. Understanding how mental health challenges affect communication, relationships, and behavior can reduce tension and increase connection.

This training provides practical, relationship-centered strategies that help supporters respond with confidence, compassion, and clarity. Participants will leave with tools that strengthen trust, preserve well-being, and support meaningful care over time.
