About Melanie
Melanie Harkins, PsyD, is a licensed clinical psychologist. Dr. Harkins has treated child and adolescent mental health across multiple settings, including outpatient, inpatient, school-based settings, and partial hospital programs.
She specializes in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for adolescents and young adults who struggle with emotion dysregulation and high-risk behaviors.
Dr. Harkins joined McLean SouthEast’s Adolescent Partial Hospital Program as the clinical director in 2022. Before this, she completed a two-year post-doctoral fellowship specializing in neuropsychological assessment and adolescent inpatient care at Mass General Brigham’s Salem Hospital.
