About Melissa
Melissa Daroff is passionate about promoting much-needed education about mental health topics and is unwavering in her dedication to the work Deconstructing Stigma does toward erasing mental health stigma.
In her role as associate director, Daroff manages the daily operations of the team, overseeing the many processes and systems needed to reach the thousands of people who interact with our websites, join our virtual trainings, and read the lived experience stories of the volunteers in our stigma reduction campaign.
Originally trained as a stage manager for professional theater, Daroff brings the keen creative problem-solving and project management skills honed over 20 years working in the performing arts to the Deconstructing Stigma team. She takes great pride in putting these skills to good use to help the team change attitudes about mental health around the globe.
